Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is from a multi-cultural family. Born in South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss while her mother was English. Her family was on the South London Council Estate and was a student at The Brit School aged 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was obtained. As a student at the academy and performing in numerous stage productions including King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe launched her acting career through the movie Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the wake of that film's success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. She also was offered the role of Bambi on the ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the three and two series. Madekwe was a star in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes on The CW, and was then cancelled. In February of 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe's departure from the series was announced in May 2013. After a period of two years as a main character, she was a guest in the opening episode of season three. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba on the show Salem. From June to July 2012, Madekwe was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. Together, they worked in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played alongside Madekwe on Salem.

Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was raised in a big family in Hamilton, Ontario. Four of her older brothers were also in the family and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and were avid baseball players during the summer months as well as hockey in winter. Ashley was never able to walk. She danced. So when she was 2 and a 1/2, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance from that moment. Ashley was a dancer who competed in all the major categories until the time she graduated from high school. She competed in jazz, tap, ballet as well as pointe and Acrobatics. Every major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the distinction of "top soloist".
